Job summary

RAC is seeking a Superflex Roadside Patrol technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work independently, handle varying locations, and respond to member needs with confidence and care.

The role includes evenings, weekends and peak periods, with a structured development program and opportunities to gain IMI accreditation. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is required.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is required.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and repair vehicles at the roadside.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK and ensure members reach their destinations safely.
• Work independently to diagnose faults, solve problems and support members during shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence (fewer than 6 points)
