Job summary

You’ll be part of RAC’s Patrol division, delivering roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and end your day at home, handling calls with the right tools and support to get members moving again.

You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, diagnostic kit and essential tools from day one, with a market-competitive base salary and an OTE range of £43,000–£53,000, plus generous holidays and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and providing quick, confident solutions.
• Operate with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit provided from day one.
