Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll apply your Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance training and 2+ years’ experience to diagnose faults and provide emergency roadside support, keeping members moving.

You’ll start and end each day at home, work ~40 hours per week with possible overtime, and you’ll receive a competitive base salary of £41,600 (London Weighting where applicable) plus realistic OTE of £66,000.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• Customer-focused approach and full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and finish on your driveway with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week
• Tackle flat batteries, tyre changes, and complex fault-finding with confidence
