Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the United Kingdom. You will be dispatched to call-outs, utilising a fully equipped RAC van and diagnostic kit, delivering fast, reliable solutions with excellent member service.

Starting from home and finishing at different roadside locations, you’ll work 40 hours per week with demand-led shifts and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions while maintaining high member service standards.
• Handle call-outs efficiently, using provided tools and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs.
