Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the United Kingdom. You will start and end each day from home, with a RAC van and essential tools provided, handling demand-led shifts around 40 hours per week.

You’ll need NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience, plus 5+ years as a Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Assist emergency breakdowns and safety on scene.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify faults.
• Coordinate with members to resolve issues quickly.
