Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and provide rapid breakdown support to members on the move.

You’ll start and end your day from home, with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit provided. A full UK driving licence with clean points is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostic work, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform diagnostics to get members back on the road quickly.
• Provide confident, friendly service and guidance to RAC members on every call-out.
