Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and provide rapid breakdown support across the UK. You will work independently in varied environments, delivering confident solutions and excellent member service.

The role offers a starting base salary of £36,400 with realistic OTE of £61,000. Shifts average 40 hours per week with optional overtime and opportunities for IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and implement quick, reliable solutions to help members continue their journeys.
• Utilise diagnostic tools to identify faults and provide clear guidance to members.
