Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will operate from a RAC van, respond to calls, and deliver confident, high‑quality service to members on the roadside.

Ideal candidates will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence. Expect a fast-paced role with shift work and broad diagnostic responsibilities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Troubleshoot faults, perform diagnostics, and resolve issues on-site for RAC members.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassuring service when members need help most.
