Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver emergency roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support nationwide. You’ll start and finish at home, using your RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit provided from day one.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll handle fault-finding, tyre changes and battery issues, while delivering excellent member service and calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Alternatively 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
• Think quickly to diagnose faults and provide confident solutions for members in need.
