Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose, repair and support members across the UK. You will start and end each day from home, using your RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit to handle roadside calls.

You should be an experienced technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence, ready for variable shifts and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work from home base and manage roadside calls with RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members on every call-out.
