Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician who will perform mechanical roadside repairs, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish from home, with RAC providing a van, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic kit to support quick, confident service.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years of experience, you’ll handle faults from batteries to tyre changes, while maintaining outstanding member service and safety on

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years in vehicle repair.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day from home with RAC van, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and keep members informed and reassured at breakdowns.
