Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and help members continue their journeys safely.

You'll work independently with modern diagnostic tools, have access to a structured development pathway and opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation as you grow your skills in a demanding field.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults independently and offer quick, confident solutions.
• Use latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly.
