Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide confident solutions, and help members continue their journeys safely.

Starting from a driveway, shifts average 40 hours per week with demand-led scheduling and optional overtime. A structured development programme with IMI accreditation awaits you for ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving.
