Job summary

As a Roadside Technician with RAC, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and end your day at home, responding quickly to member calls and providing reassurance through your technical skill.

You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, diagnostic kit and tools, plus an established benefits package as part of a trusted 125+ year history in roadside services.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support UK-wide.
• Diagnose faults and perform quick, confident solutions on-site.
• Travel to customer locations, starting and ending at home for each shift.

Education
