Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division. You’ll be based in the Harlow cluster, starting and ending your day at home while visiting members across the local area for roadside repairs and diagnostics.

Responsibilities include fault finding, tyre or battery work, and emergency breakdown support, with a focus on quick, confident solutions and excellent member service. We provide a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside mechanical repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Keep customers informed with quick, confident solutions.
