Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and perform expert roadside repairs across the UK, delivering quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.

You’ll work independently, using the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and keep members moving. The role offers a structured development pathway with IMI accreditation and a base salary of £36,400 with realistic OTE around £61,000.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs to get members back on the road.
• Provide vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work independently to assess problems and deliver confident solutions.
