Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Exeter cluster. You will repair, diagnose and support members at the roadside, starting and finishing from home with a RAC van and provided tools. Expect 40-hour weeks with overtime options and a realistic OTE reflecting performance bonuses.

Applicants should have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician. A full UK driving licence with <6 points is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Roadside/Vehicle Technician or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across local areas.
• Utilise tools and diagnostic kit provided by RAC to fix faults on site.
• Reassure members and complete callouts efficiently.
