Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, delivering expert roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK. You’ll start and end your day at home, with shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

We provide a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit from day one. A strong customer focus and calm problem-solving approach are essential for success.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Perform roadside repairs and diagnostics for RAC members
• Respond to emergency breakdowns across the UK
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members
