RAC is seeking a proactive Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK. You’ll start and end your day from home and operate in local clusters to reach members quickly.

You will carry diagnostic tools and a RAC van, with night allowances and strong earning potential through realistic OTE. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and delivering reassurance on the roadside.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Demos ability to diagnose issues and perform roadside repairs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Handle breakdown calls with quick, confident solutions and high service standards.
• Start and end your day at home, visiting member locations and delivering value on every call.
