Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, helping members fast when they need us most.

You’ll start and end your day at home with your RAC van, diagnostic kit and tools, travelling to call-outs to fix faults and provide confident service while ensuring safety and customer care at every roadside moment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform expert roadside repairs and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver confident, customer-focused service and reassurance on scene.
• Utilise RAC-provided tools, diagnostic kit, and van equipment.
