Job summary

Join RAC as a Roadside Technician in the UK. You’ll operate from home most days, covering a regional cluster and returning members to the road with expert roadside diagnostics and repairs.

Eligible candidates have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent, 2+ years’ experience, and a UK driving licence with <6 points. RAC provides a dedicated van, tools, and full uniform from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Be a problem solver for roadside calls, providing quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
• Tackle fault diagnostics, tyre changes, and battery issues with the tools and support provided.
