Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to support members across the UK. You will perform rapid roadside repairs, diagnostics, and breakdown assistance, working as part of our Patrol division.

You’ll start and finish from home and receive a dedicated RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, and essential tools. We look for a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, with your RAC van, fuel card, tools, and diagnostic kit provided.
