Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver mobile mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and end your day at home, on demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours per week, with overtime options.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle faults such as flat batteries, tyre changes and fault-finding with confidence.
• Provide quick, reassuring solutions and maintain high levels of member service.

Education
