Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, serving the Exeter cluster and surrounding areas. You will diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, returning members to the road quickly while delivering exceptional service.

You'll start and finish at home, work demand-led shifts around 40 hours per week, and receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit from day one. Base pay is competitive with a strong OTE potential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day at home, with a RAC van, fuel card and tools provided.
• Tackle faults on-site, including diagnostics, tyre changes, flat batteries, and repairs.

Education
