Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics. You’ll support emergency breakdowns, diagnose faults, and restore mobility for RAC members across the UK.

You’ll start and end your day from home, with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit provided to enable fast, reliable service. Ideal candidates hold an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Alternatively, 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Get members back on the road with quick, confident solutions.
