Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Starting and finishing at home, you’ll work demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours per week with optional overtime.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years of experience, you’ll be part of a trusted team delivering fast, confident solutions to members in need.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish day at home, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime.
