Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to keep UK drivers moving. You will diagnose faults, perform on‑the‑spot repairs, and provide emergency breakdown support in your local area, starting and finishing from home with a RAC van and full tooling provided.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you will handle diverse calls, stay calm under pressure, and ensure excellent member service. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle diverse roadside challenges and ensure quick, confident solutions.
