Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish your day at home, work in your local area, and be provided with an RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit.

Eligible candidates hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance NVQ (or equivalent) and have at least 2 years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with ≤6 points.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (Fewer than 6 points)
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults and carry out tyre, battery and other quick fixes on-site
• Be a RAC ambassador with strong customer service on every call
