Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform on-demand mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK. The role starts and ends at home, with shifts scheduled around demand in your local area and a drive-ready RAC van and tools provided.

The ideal candidate has Level 2 LV maintenance or equivalent, plus 2+ years’ experience, and holds a full UK driving licence with fewer than six points. OTE potential and bonuses reflect performance and overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, attending local calls and returning to your driveway after each shift.
• Work with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic kit provided to you from day one.
