Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK. You’ll start and end shifts from home with a drive-time focus on your local area.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 2 LV maintenance qualification (or 2+ years’ experience) or 5+ years as a Technician, plus a full UK driving licence. Your role includes a provided RAC van, tools, and uniform, with a strong base salary and realistic OTE.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• OR 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics.
• Assist members with emergency breakdowns and get them back on the road.
• Operate with RAC van and diagnostic tools.
