Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician. You’ll use your Level 2 LV Maintenance qualification and 2+ years of experience to perform diagnostics and roadside repairs. The role covers UK-wide callouts with a home start and finish.

The position includes a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit. Expect 40-hour weeks with demand-led shifts and optional overtime, generous pay, and strong career development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish at home, tackling calls head-on with the tools and support provided.
