Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to service members across the Cheltenham cluster and surrounding towns. You will perform diagnostics, quick roadside repairs, and emergency support, starting and finishing at your home driveway while travelling in your RAC van to assist members in the local area.

Requirements include NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years in vehicle tech, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Alternative: 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide on-call emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days from home, with local area focus.
