Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs, delivering quick, confident service to members. You’ll work 40 hours per week with demand-led shifts, and you may receive overtime.

You’ll start and end at home with your RAC van, fuel card, and full equipment provided. We value hands-on experience: NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years driving tech experience, plus a full UK licence with under 6

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Alternatively, 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on the roadside.
• Utilise provided RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit to complete calls.
