Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll diagnose, repair, and support members on the roadside, delivering trusted service with safety and efficiency at the forefront.

You’ll start each shift from home, using your RAC van and diagnostic kit, with 40-hour weeks and optional overtime. A Level 2 qualification or equivalent plus 2+ years’ experience is preferred, along with a full UK licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ vehicle tech experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Troubleshoot faults and provide quick, confident solutions on the roadside.
• Operate within RAC patrol guidelines across the UK.
