Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostic and repair work on vehicles at the roadside and deliver exceptional member service across the UK. You will work from home when not on calls, covering the Portsmouth cluster and surrounding areas, with a focus on rapid, reliable solutions to keep members moving.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician, plus a full UK driving licence with <=6 points. A van, fuel card, tools and kit are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days from home; respond to calls and get members back on the road quickly.
