Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division, covering the Portsmouth cluster and nearby towns. You’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support to members across the UK.

Start and finish at home with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided. Requires Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in roadside/vehicle maintenance
• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and finish each day at home while serving members locally
