Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, delivering expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll be a problem solver and a reassuring presence for members in their time of need.

You’ll start and finish your day from home, covering local areas and returning to your RAC van with fuel card and tools ready for the next call-out. The role offers a competitive package and growth opportunities within the RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and finish at home and tackle challenges head-on while aiding members
