Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK, with a schedule averaging around 40 hours per week and potential overtime.

Starting and finishing at home, you’ll be equipped with a dedicated RAC van, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic kit to handle everything from flat batteries to tyre changes with confidence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• As a Roadside Technician you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support.
