Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll provide expert roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, using your hands-on skills and calm customer focus.

You’ll start and finish each shift from home, equipped with a RAC van, diagnostic kit and full uniform, and you’ll be rewarded with a strong base salary and realistic OTE as you help keep drivers moving.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle flat battery changes, tyre repairs and complex fault-finding with confidence.
• Start and end your day from home, making an impact on roadside service.
• Work with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
