Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing your day from home while serving members in your local area.

You’ll have a RAC van, fuel card and full uniform provided, with strong base pay and realistic OTE. The role emphasizes customer service and practical problem‑solving under pressure.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside.
