Job summary

RAC is hiring Roadside Technicians in the UK to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support nationwide. Starting with a base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £61,000, shifts average around 40 hours per week with optional overtime. A structured development pathway includes IMI accreditation and ongoing support to advance your technical career.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and assist members to continue journeys safely.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and develop skills through structured development and IMI accreditation.
