Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician in the United Kingdom. You will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support to our members, working across the UK with a focus on quick, confident solutions.

You’ll diagnose faults, repair on-site, and help members continue their journeys safely. We offer a structured development programme, hands-on learning, and accreditation through the IMI, with a 40-hour average work week and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and deliver quick, confident solutions to members.
