Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, solve problems and keep members moving with confidence.

Starting with a base salary of £36,400, with a realistic OTE of £61,000; top performers earn more through bonuses and overtime. A structured development programme offers hands‑on learning and IMI accreditation, supporting your growth throughout your RAC career.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and get members back on the road quickly.
