Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, deliver quick solutions and reassure members when they need help most, working independently with the latest diagnostic tools.

Starting on your driveway with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime, the role offers a structured development path and opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation as you grow your

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and solve problems to help members continue their journeys.
