Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and support members on the move, starting from a home driveway and traveling to local areas.

The role offers a strong base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000 and opportunities to increase earnings through overtime and bonuses. A structured development pathway and IMI accreditation support your long-term career with RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs.
• Provide quick, confident diagnostics and roadside support to members.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and get members back on the road.
