Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and support members during emergencies across the UK. You’ll work on varied calls, openly applying diagnostic skills and customer service to keep drivers moving and reassured.

You’ll receive a clear development pathway with hands-on learning, accredited IMI options, and a strong base salary plus achievable bonuses and overtime, reflecting the demands of a mobile, field-based role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly.
