Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs and help members get back on the road quickly, working independently with support to develop your skills.

The role offers structured development, IMI accreditation opportunities and a benefits package designed to support long-term careers within RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
• Diagnose faults independently and help members continue their journeys safely.
