Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick solutions and help members continue their journey with confidence.

The role offers a structured development pathway with IMI accreditation and a strong base pay complemented by an achievable OTE, with overtime options and benefits across a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic could fulfil role.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving.
• Work independently to identify issues and ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
