Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and support members across the UK, starting and ending your day from home.

You’ll receive a van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit from day one, with a strong base salary and realistic OTE of over £60k for top performers. Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician, plus a full UK licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repair.
• Conduct vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
