Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK, starting and finishing each day from home.

The role demands a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than six points. With a market-competitive base pay (£36,400) and a realistic £60,000 OTE, this role offers overtime and bonuses, a van and tools provided,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside.
• You’ll be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
